You are correct about the limitations of the lens for 3D. But, have you actually used the lens for taking 3D on any NX camera? Or just read the manual?

You can take interesting 3D pictures and video. And the combination of shallow DOF that an APS-C camera has and 3D makes for 3D that is quite distinct from that taken by small-sensor camcorders, which typical have very poor resolution. I have shot video using many 3D cameras and camcorders.
