I have the above Camera and I have really messed up all the settings etc trying to work out how to set up SCP among other things. Now I am finding I am not able to take any pics in A mode that are not overexposed . Is it ok to return the camera to factory settings and start over from scratch.

I am very new to this camera and finding the menu hard to work out. I previously had a Canon 70D

Thank you

The very first thing to do with this camera (or any Pen or OM-D camera) is to turn on the optional custom menus (the gear wheels item in the menu list) by....
Menu ► Spanner/Wrench Menu ► Gear Wheels Menu Display = ON.

First some menu help on my page at http://homepages.ihug.com.au/~parsog/olyepl1/56-ep5-custom-menus.html and wandering through your camera custom menus in conjunction with my page or the manual may help find the bad settings.

Otherwise Shooting Menu 1 has "MySet/Reset" and you can choose a basic reset or full reset which tidies up most mistakes. Other than that you can leave the battery out for maybe 24 hours and many things are reset.

I found that User Name and Copyright at least do not get reset by the battery out method but most everything else does seem to revert to factory settings.

To set the SCP try my E-PL5 page as it's common method to all http://homepages.ihug.com.au/~parsog/olyepl1/53-epl5-scp.html
