I've scoured the reviews, and honestly this is the first time I have heard of a shutter shock problem.
Anyway...i am still on the fence, not because of this, but because I can put the $1,000 a NX500 kit will cost towards some Canon or Zeiss glass...TBC...

I am here at my LCS playing with the NX500 and kit lens. Tested the sharpness of the kit lens at 1/FL , handheld and OIS off. There is zero sign of the alledged shutter shock as all images are sharp. There is zero evidence to support the claim that sharp images require 1/160s due presumably to shutter shock.
Well, even though TCS makes nice reviews, they were the only ones who complained about it. It could well be that there was some calibration issue with their particular lens or camera. Or actually, that's most likely given that no one else complained about it.
However, while I still think that NX as a platform superior in almost every way to M, I think rationally it doesn't make much sense for an M user to go out and buy an NX500 (NX1 might be a different story). The usefulness of the 4K will be really limited with a 3x crop factor. And I doubt you're planning to buy the Samsung UWA as you already own the EF-M 11-22.
The IQ will probably be noticeably better when you're shooting a lot at base ISO or high ISO (from what I've seen about a stop) but the resolution increase isn't as much as the numbers would (roughly 25% linear).
I'd say put your 1k$ towards another L or Zeiss.
Yes, you may be right...
