Some baseball burst shooting with the NX500 and 50-150 S Lens
3

Though I have been shooting my son's baseball games with the NX1, I was curious as to how the NX500 would handle burst shooting coupled with the 50-150 S lens. First let me inform you that unlike the NX1, the best the NX500 can do shooting burst in RAW format is 3 - 4 frames before the buffer fills. So, if you want to shoot burst using the NX500, you must shoot in JPG format in order for the camera's processor to keep up with the buffer. The below 9 photo burst sequence is of my son's teammate tagging out a runner who was attempting to steal 2nd base. The burst sequence was shot at 150mm focal length and the photos are heavily cropped, as the 50-150 S lens isn't an optimal lens to shoot outdoor sports because it's just a little short. However, when you have a 28 MP sensor, please crop away...correct? As you can see, the NX500 AF does a great job maintaining focus throughout the burst sequence.
