Re: How I got UHD (~4k) working on a MAC Mini

What vintage of Mac Mini were you doing this with? I would like my mid 2011 Mac Mini (2.3 gHz i5 with Intel HD graphics 3000/512MB) to be able to output 3840 x 2160 @ 30Hz for downloaded 4K movies, playing to my Philips 4K TV. Obviously it would be easier for me if this could be done via the HDMI, as the TV has no DVI input and I would need to use a DVI to HDMI convertor, which I am not sure if they run at 4K and using display port to DVI and then DVI to HDMI might degrade the signal. I am very happy to hack the video driver to raise the clock speed, as if the worst comes to the worst, one can always revert from a Time Capsule back up. Any advice would be appreciated.
