Thank you everyone for your very Educational Input. I learned a lot reading everyone's thought on the matter. I also examine the Sony A7RII AF speed via an adapter - it is shockingly fast. Unfortunately, I don't plan on investing $3000 in any Sony camera.

If Sony can trickle down this Ultra Fast AF technology into the cheaper $599~$799 Sony A6100, then it might be GAME OVER for everyone.

Samsung remain a very interesting option that - for some reason - I"m not willing to invest in it yet. I dont' know WHY, but there is a Samsung Resistant of a sort. I'll stay on the side line and observe 1 more year to make my choice.

No reason to buy Samsung because it's not any better than Sony except in touchscreens on high end cameras (not just low/mid like Sony).

I'm waiting for a "mini A7Rii" as well, but $600 would be way too cheap. They know they will be probably not pick up that many sales of E to A adapters and A lenses, and may lose out on some lens sales, so I think they will end up pricing it at $1000+ body-only. I'm guessing $1300 including kit lens, $1150 without. That keeps it more consistent with the prices for the RX100m4 and RX10m2 and allows them to make a profit even on people who never buy Sony lenses.

I agree that a mini A7Rii would be the beginning of the end for most of the other mirrorless mounts. They should nickname it the Sony A6100 NS. NS = Natural Selection, and Sony is the apex predator in MILCs.
