Is the original X100 still worth buying ?

I voted "yes", but the price would have to be well south of $500.  I've had mine for a few years now.  I bought it used, and about a year into ownership it developed SAB, so the cautions about the early cameras are valid (unless the seller can prove the lens mechanism has been replaced).  Fuji was great about it and repaired mine at no cost (I understand that is no longer their policy).  Since then, it's worked flawlessly.

Someone mentioned the GM1.  I recently bought one of those for my wife.  It's a great camera, and on paper probably beats the X100 is every regard; however, you can't hold it up to your eye, frame your shot with an optical view finder, press the shutter and see a beautiful preview of your digital image appear in the viewfinder.  There's certainly something truly magical about that.
