Sony a6000 - I switched!
2

I switched from the a6000 to a Canon t3i and I love it.

I was a Canon shooter for a long while, sold off my gear and didn't shoot for a long time. Then I started hearing about the a6000 and took an interest. Bought one. Shot with it. Didn't love it. I found I was missing the "Canon color."

I didn't want to dive headfirst into the deep end, so I'm easing back into things. I picked up the T3i, 10-18 and the 24mm STM. Yes, I know this camera doesn't connect to the internet, shoot auto HDR or make pancakes in the morning, but I'm really enjoying it. It's a relatively inexpensive camera and the lenses inexpensive as well. I'll add the 430EX II along the way. Maybe a zoom, maybe not.

This is one of the first photos from the t3i. This is the EF-S 10-18 (you can see the shadow on his shirt) and one of the first photos taken with my new camera. I Popped up the flash, threw the camera into 2nd curtain and ahhhhh...there it is.

Anyone looking for an inexpensive DSLR, don't be afraid of picking up a Rebel and having fun. Yep, the a6000 is the latest-and-greatest. No question. But that doesn't mean your Canon DSLR is suddenly the ghosts of photography past.
