Re: Two bodies or an extra lens for my upcoming trip to Rome?

2 years ago I visited Rome with my G3 and the two kit lenses : 14-42 and 45-200. (and I left 'tomorrow' to fly home! )
Most of the time I used the 14-42. (I don't recall the most common focal length though within that range).
If I had of had access to it I would have not had both lenses and just had the 14-150: there are times I did want the zoom (an example would be a multi-crowded person shot looking up towards Piazza St Pietro from near Castel San Angelo.

If I could have, and purely for the pocket-ability, the pancake 14mm would have been great instead with those low lighting situations inside places such churches, night life etc.

Otherwise you could always stick with what you have and then get the apparently 'crazy good' samyang/rokinon fisheye 7.5mm for under $300.

Then you will be able to capture far more of the inside of the Pantheon than the 14mm..

Have fun, enjoy the gellato... and the fantastic pasticherria (sp) about 100m south of Piazza Navona...   oh yes.. get shooting EARLY in the morning.. when the people and heat is not up yet.

Ciao!

OH yes... there are plenty of public fountains for water..  just take a bottle and fill it
