Presumably PDAF itself is not the problem but that the DSLR focuses on the PDAF sensors. That is fine only if they happen to be at the same distance as the image sensor in the light path.

You know, even if NX has slower overall AF speed I'm happy that its always focuses where I want to. I've used to have 10 or more DSLR and SLT cameras last few years and every of it suffered from some kind of AF problems. Only Pentax K-3 was good and snap-on. So I'm happy that I must not have deal with PDAF anymore
