I've sold a 40D for around 150 euros, bought it for around 700 euros in 2009. You can even buy an 1D mk I or II for around 500-700 euros, while new they would cost around 3000-4000 euros That would make it a very bad investment if you plan on selling it 10 years later!
LOL. At one time I wanted a 40D so bad.... but I couldn't afford it. Good glass does hold it's value better than the cams.
