Re: Hagia Sophia inside at 14mm

Wow great shot with your Samyang 14mm Peter Kwok!

Was it hand held fully open at f2.8? Or on a small tripod? I have heard tripods are not allowed, true? And this good for only 299 dollar? It looks really good, how is the general IQ, clarity, sharpness and micro contrast? Usable IQ at f2.8? Still ok in the corners or mushy like most older WA Canons zoomed in at 100%? Small pictures but they really looks even better than my old 17-35f/2.8L and 16-35f/2.8L II in the corners.

How good/bad is the RAW file right out from the camera before processing? Is hard work to correct distortions to get a good result like yours?

This will be a late night with google to find out more on this lens. I have tried Carl Zeiss Distagon 21 and 15mm and they are fantastic but cost a lot more.. 7 days to departure I will look into this 14mm lens asap and hope my local dealers have one in stock.

On software and lens profile, I use Apple Aperture today but am forced to move soon to eider LR 6 or C1 Pro 8 I have never used lens profiles. Do this lens profile for Samyang 14mm also work for Capture One Pro 8?

(My wife's brand new Sony RX100 III came with a Sony only version of Phase One, Capture One Express it can be upgraded for a minor cost to a full version of Capture One Pro 8.)

PS The new Canon 100-400 is on my wish list, lots of wildlife around my home
