Why do you not see more m4/3?

And also demographics .. how we live and go about the hobby had a very profound impact on what and how we kit ourselves. DSLR big or small is not necessarily a hindrance. Compact and lightweight M4/3 does not automatically translate to be the better choice. And for those who are not into the hobby, then there's one less reason to try M4/3 altogether

When I go out on a session. I kit myself out depending on the nature, duration, and of course the environmental constraints placed upon. Mode of transportation  dictate in most case size and weight limit when subject matter dictate choice of body and lens. Its pretty much the same for most people and with that M4/3 is just another possibility.

Other to that of course its the marketing and product market share which is not even one for the individuals. So its not a why, its just a What as in What's really out there. We here who engage in this forum discussion are likely more biased to go with say a system type gear setup and kits but real world its not. People who are serious enough to do that would have their own choice and M4/3 might or might not be theirs. But the majority of the mass market just do not need something like the M4/3. Their smartphone serve them well enough and if they need something more, they could be better served by something like the Sony RX10 ( now RX10-II ) or RX100-III , even Panasonic had something like their FZ and LX .. so really while many are saying the DC is dead. they might want to rethink again. the low end DC surely are going south but not the really performing ones. Else we won't see the 4K+ priced Leica Q nor Sony's two new RX
