I've had my ELPH 330 HS for a little over a year, and I've been very pleased with the image quality, both indoors and out. I t's even been to an outdoor concert, and performed well for a little, compact P&S.
Lately, however, I'm not getting the sharp images that I used to get, and I'm wondering if it's starting to go downhill.
Here are two shots that I took earlier today. The first was taken using "P" Mode with Brian's suggested settings. The second, was taken on Auto. They were taken just a little time apart, different dogs, but the same spot on the couch.
I've noticed that when I have my camera set to "P" Mode, that I get a flashing red camera icon in the lower left corner that I don't get when it's set to Auto.

P.S. I forgot to mention, these are SOOC, just resized.
In P mode have you got ISO set to AUTO, for some reason it used ISO80 in that low light situation, causing a very slow shutter speed, whereas AUTO mode used ISO800.
That flashing icon was probably warning about camera shake due to the extremely slow shutter speed.
I would also cleck the lens cleanliness.

Thanks Brian, and thanks to you, too, Mark. I was hoping it was just a setting off somewhere. I thought I had my ISO set to Auto, but I guess not. I'm really quite fond of this little camera, and I'd hate to think I'd have to give it up. Although I am planning on getting an SX50 while they're still on sale.
