The 40-150 pro is a superb lens, even with the MC-14 teleconverter. Pictures say much more then every word. Here is my Flickr-Test-Album that shows the continuous focus capabilities (AFC) of this lens plus the 1.4 teleconverter on the GH4. All "Birds In Flight", means seagulls in our area.

wow, resurrecting a 1 year old thread.

If the Oly 40-150 pro combo works well with the GH4, it ihas to do with just the default AF engine, as in order to use the fast tracking AF DFD, the lens needs to be supported by Panasonic, and that usually means the lens is made by Panasonic.

I'm not sure this is true anymore. Since Panasonic now also corrects for CA on Olympus lenses (since the GX7 already), I wouldn't be surprised if they also would include data for other features (like DFD) in their cameras - without advertising this, of course

Otherwise it's hard to explain why some of them perform as good...
