K50 and catch in focus, cant get it working

Hi,

I have acquired a SMC Takumar f1.4 50mm, I'm very happy with them.

The thing is that I'm trying to use catch in focus and it doesn't seem to be working.

Each time i press the shutter it fires, no matter if there is something in focus or not.

I have followed all the steps that appears in several places, but doesnt seem to make a difference.

So far the behavior that i'm getting is, when half press the shutter the camera starts searching for something in focus so as son as i get focus the red dot in the middle of the viewer lits and the green pentagon lits which is quite handy to know when something is focused and then i fully press the shutter to get the shot.

If nothing is in focus and i fully press the shutter, it takes the shot too.

I have catch in focus on.

Focus set to AFS.

I have priority focus on, so it should only take the shot if focused.

SMC takumar mounted using an official Pentax M42 to K adaptor, the lens is manual only.

Camera mode "M".

Any ideas?
