I assume the retina is calibrated enough. At least my MacBook with retina needs no calibration.

I have a minor blue, green color vision deficiency so I cannot comment on the technical aspect of color saturation. I can distinguish between strong blue and green tint. When it gets to the aquamarine, I am generally unable to distinguish whether if leans blue or green.

That is problematic as greens (when corrected for flower petals) tends to either go agianst blue or maybe magenta, and often is desaturated.
