Re: Change in optics for new Olympus 14-150mm

I have both the old Olympus 14-150 and the new Olympus 14-150II. There is a quite noticeable difference in image quality between the two. The II is quite noticeably better, particularly in keeping sharpness across the image.

There is no way the optics are the same. It is a new lens design for sure.  But the II does have more chromatic aberration in the corners than I would have liked just like the older version.   So I got the EM5II to get the in camera correction of chromatic aberration for JPEGS.   The EM5 lacked that.
