Love how these older threads are discovered and recycled again...

...Because it allows the OP to add even more comments after having used the lens and/or camera for a year or more.

All I can add to my initial comments is that this is one of the sharpest PZ kit lenses on the market.  Sure, we'd all love to have the much more expensive glass (S lens), but not many of us can continuously shell out the bucks for those optics.

But this is where the PZ lens shines.  If you are looking for superior optics but are limited with funds, look no further than this Samsung PZ lens.  It has permanently stayed on my NX300 and I see no need to add anything else (subjective, I know).  I've had so many stellar keepers with this lens that I must say (again, subjective...) that it is one of the finest (if not the finest) kit lenses out there.

And to say this a year or so after the initial review is saying something.  You would be very happy with this lens and sure, we're love to have perhaps a longer reach (I'd love for Samsung to release a 16-85 kit lens (with this sharpness level), but that doesn't look like it's going to happen.

I'm going to eventually pick up the NX500 and luckily, it comes with the PZ lens.
