t3i or 60d can't read sandisk extreme 64GB SD
May 26, 2015
My t3i suddenly stopped reading Sandisk extreme 64 GB SD card. A friend's 60D (which have worked with this card before) also can't read the card. Both cameras say "no card in camera". However the card works with my 7D mark2 just fine. I've done some research and apparently t3i or 60D can't read exFAT file system, while apparently 7D Mark2 can.
Any suggestions on how to re-format the card so that it will work with 60D or t3i again? I've tried formatting on my PC as FAT and got the error message that the card was too large. I also installed an app which is supposed to re-format the card as FAT - no luck. However, the card should work with t3i and 60D per Sandisk's specs.
Thanks in advance
I posted the same question in 60D forum as well: http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/55878461
