My wife has a 100D and I have a 400L. When she puts my lens on her camera, the screen doesn't show any information such as shutter speed/aperture, exposure compensation and the like so she has to change those settings in the viewfinder.
This isn't the case with any other lens she has - 18-200 or 70-200, only with the 400L.
Can anyone shed any light on whether this is expected behaviour or otherwise?
sounds odd. what is the status of the battery? perhaps it's old and doesn't hold as much charge, and maybe the 400 L needs more? do you have the possibility to change the battery and try?
So with a fresh and fully charged battery, all is well. That appears to have been the issue.
good, thanks for the feedback
