Re: Third party batteries are inexpensive; stock up.... Good call on using B&W (NT)

Yes they are cheap, but sometimes they don't last long and go dead suddenly. That was the problem. showed 3 bars then went dead within 5 minutes. My good original battery I forgot to take out of the charger and put in my bag. But no problem, got a couple more good ones on order.

Depends on which third party battery you use. When I got my E-M10, I got two Watson BLS-5 batteries from B&H Photo for the same price as one Olympus BLS-5 battery. They have proved to be every bit as good and reliable as the Olympus battery. If I put the Olympus and one of the Watson BLS-5s face down, you can't tell the difference. Maybe Watson is buying their batteries from the same place as Olympus or maybe they're the ones making them for Olympus. A lot of people here have used Wasabi batteries, from Amazon I believe, with the same results.

But think on the bright side. In spite of the so-so weather and the crummy battery, you managed to come home with two great photos that you were good enough to share with all of us
