Format properly.

Did you format the card on your computer?

The only way to format on the computer is to use the Official SD Organisation's format program, do not use Windows (or Mac) default format of any SD card. https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/

Try reformatting the card in-camera. And take a few test shots.

And yes, and after the computer format, do a camera format.

If after reformatting the card and still having cut off mages, I'd bin the card. Why take another chance? Or if fairly new, return the card to store for exchange.

Memory cards are very inexpensive these days.

That's why I have a fistful of the little devils, for travel capacity and to be able to immediately change out if some funny event happens.

If taking single shots and very few bursts and don't use video much then Class 10 SDHC cards are all you need. I stick to 16gig size as the sweet spot for price/performance and fit not too many days on a card when travelling. In my case cheap Team brand, they work fine for me, not sure if sold everywhere.

Never buy cheap brand name cards on eBay, the figures used to show that 95% of them are fakes. Use a reliable store or online seller where good return and guarantee policies are in place.

But, if the images are really important to you, try a file recovery program, and see if the images can be salvaged.

If the card is corrupted the images can only be recovered in that same corrupted form, been there done that with some friends' similar card corruptions.
