Olympus XZ2

G15/16? Something else? It's mostly snapshot type photography. I like the extra control and quality for great pics of my kids, nature, hikes, etc.

I suppose I could switch brands, though I've been using Canon since I went digital.

Thanks!

My G12 broke too. I replaced it a few months ago with an Olympus XZ2. Olympus has XZ2 refurbs for $239, (including shipping) so I thought it was worth a try, considering the good reviews it has behind it. It's a noticeable improvement in every way from the Canon G12, and even the G15 (which I handled and used in the store). You can't tell the refub from new, and it operates flawlessly. Battery life is very very good too. I would buy another one.

It's by far the Most solid feeling compact that I've ever handled.
