SX60 Two Part Review

Thanks for the reply. I compared the P600 and sx50 twice and even though the P600 was a touch sharper and maybe at the lowest ISO a touch more detail. I found the sx50 colors better (better dynamic range and richer) and low light performance better above ISO 400 ( cleaner, less noise) and also less smearing of fine detail. So overall I found the sx50 a better allrounder for image quality (JPEGS that is). I haven't compared the sx50 to the new P610, P900 but it does seem the colors have improved, as well as low light performance and AF.
Cheers
Steve.
I've no interest in the P900 given its excessive minimum focus distance at full extension thus the P610 has been my machine of interest. The improved viewfinder and autofocus are very attractive and it will tele-focus much closer.
The SX50 excels at close tele-focus, allows raw capture when needed and an available lens shade. I like its file output at higher ISO values, too. As much as I'd like to have the improved viewfinder of the Nikon its very hard to justify when I can purchase a factory refurb SX50 for $300 less than the Nikon P610.
After careful research it appears I'll be opting for the old tech Canon which I believe will be the best tool for my particular usage.
