For video a video camera is going to be a lot more useful with quiet lenses and better zoom. These large high mega pixel sensors are not really optimum for video.

Your incorrect statement about the usefulness of hybrid cameras for video is evidence why there should be both video and still photography here. You might actually learn about video, and see, literally, exactly what a large sensor camera offers for video, and why many pro videographers use them for video.

The NX1 is a prime example of how to use a big sensor with a high megapixel count to obtain superb video. And Samsung offers quiet lenses precisely for video use. And a power zoom. The only real difference is lack of parfocal zooms.

Many issues are also in common - manual focus aids, for example.
