Canon Rebel T5 ... Track meet, Monopod or Tripod? Best Manual Settings
Re: Canon Rebel T5 ... Track meet, Monopod or Tripod? Best Manual Settings
For the best setting with the 18-55mm lens for a newbie, use F8 at first in aperture priority (Av). Increase or decrease the ISO levels to change the shutter speeds. For the best setting with the 55-250mm lens for a newbie, use F9 at first in aperture priority (Av). Again, increase or decrease the ISO levels to change the shutter speeds.
Don't use auto mode, except later you can use auto ISO. This is just a starting point. The reason I suggested F8 and F9 for those lenses is for sharpness and depth of field. Later you can learn more and change the settings to other things. You might find some suggestions on YouTube also. Plan to spend many months learning about the camera. You might want to read the manual also, slowly page by page.
