I am also interested in the SL1, as it is very small.

I am not clear what the difference is between the two Canons other than the size.

Sensor cleaning

Better rear lcd

faster burst speed

newer processor

By all means NEVER BUY A 1200D!!

lol, okay, you've convinced me not to buy the T5. I thought that a camera with a larger sensor would produce a better quality image.

The sensor is indeed larger but that is not the whole story here.

1 the Canon sensor is about 5-6 years old. Therefore not on the same effeciency as the Sony BSI Cmos found in the FZ1000.

2 the Canon lenses are F5.6 on the long-end. The Panasonic is F4. Which is twice the brightness.

In the end you will not be able to tell them apart.

Then the Panasonic has more features built-in the FZ1000 then Canon has in their falgship 7d mk2. So when looking at that it's actually a bargain.
