Re: panasonic 14mm f2.5

As the others have said, absolutely Buggerall of any consequence , unless you desperately need a Panasonic GM1 to sit straight on the desk with it on (the Mk1 is a bit larger so it tilts the cam)

There is a bit of sample variation with the 14mm F2.5, mine is very sharp wideopen edge to edge , in fact the edges are a lot better than any of the 20mm F1.7s I`ve owned (about 4 over the years) both lenses wideopen and just as good both set at F2.8 !! . I find Focus accuracy is better than the 20mm too and considerably faster . The lens isn`t as sharp as the 20mm overall but its damn sharp enough .

This is an underrated lens, it makes the GM1 into a true pocket compact .. prob is that both the Panny 12-32 Pancake zoom and even more so the 14-42-IIHD are almost as good wideopen , and although almost a stop slower , they do have OIS ......

I find the 14 F2.5 more at home on Olympus bodies which have IBIS , it makes a fantastic Bodycap for the EM1
