Re: Olympus Stylus 850 SW review

I must be blind. Well, I have a mature cataract in my viewfinder eye (my left) so in that regard, I AM half-blind, at least... Nonetheless, some eight years after the Stylus 850 SW's introduction, and hundreds of 'grab-it-fast' shots as the 'Go-To' camera, and one that can take weather in stride, I find the images produced by the little camera to be most respectable, and a side-by-side comparison to the shots produced by the Canon G9 show the Stylus to be most competent, indeed, and hardly 'so-so', if one is to employ the 'fine' setting @ 8mp. The camera's getting old, now, and RAW capability is now offered on the new Stylus, but I'll pick up an older, less-worn 850 should the opportunity present itself, as the camera's versatility encourages one to get the shot, regardless of externals. A jewel of a little camera, in one half-blind man's opinion...

Sunflowers on a lovely day, commuting on the DR-Z: the ride home from work...
