Portraits with a d700. Lens selection

Dear all,

I am thinking on starting with full frame with a d700 for my portrait photography.

I do not need anything fancy and I still think that the d700 is a wonderful camera.

I am looking for some reasonably costed prime lenses for portrait photography in the range of 85-130mm. It does not have to be super fast lens but give very good quality as a trade off. I can leave without 1.4 aperture and for focal lengths over 85 I think shooting at 2.8 is already too wide for me.

Also what zoom lenses are in the region of 70-200 that will not break the bank ? With that I mean lenses that are below 1k. As a trade off I am fine with no stabilization (although is nice) and I am also fine with not very fast apertures (although I would like to use such lens wide open when needed)

I would like to thank you for your reply

Regards

Alex
