Bands in the sky from highlight recovery DP1M

Hi

has anyone seen this phenomenon before? This picture, of a street scene with Kuala Lumur tower in the background, shows a faint green arc in the sky when you try to recover the overexposed highlight. I did expose by EV +1 to allow the foreground to capture correctly but this also happens when you expose at 0EV and try to recover lost detail in the sky. Don't remember this happening with my DP1X. The Jpegs are from RAW files in SPP 6.2 but happens with SPP 5.5 as well. Any thoughts, suggestions or is this a problem with processing software. That being the case, should we expose to the left i.e. EV in minus levels?

The Jpegs are named x3f, auto and custom based on processing settings

Processed SPP6.2 x3f setting

Processed with auto setting

Processed SPP6.2 custom setting

Any thoughts welcome. DO you think it a faulty sensor though?

DFS.
