Are you sure about that? I have a couple of these exact Hahnel batteries for Leica D-Lux 4, and they do not fit into my DP3M, as the chips at the corners are shorter.
Going by the text on the battery I would say they are the same:

Although I did not buy them at the website I linked (but maybe the person that gave it to me did, I don't know..).
If you go by the specifications on the battery, then any Leica, Panasonic (Panasonic CGA-S005) and Hahnel (HL-005) batteries that were designed for Leica D-Lux 4 or Panasonic LX3 should also work for DP2M or DP3M. Unfortunately, none of my six Leica and Hahnel batteries could even fit in the battery compartment of my DP2M or DP3M, all because of the shorter chips at the corner. I took a snapshot to show the difference - Sigma battery on the left (same look as the Akku-King battery on eBay that OP David mentioned) and Hahnel HL-005 on the right. I just tried again and the Hahnel batteries simply do not fit and battery door on DP3M cannot be closed. Of course, I go by personal experience. If it works for you, then that's good.
