Re: Samsung 45mm vs Rokinon 85mm?

I have no experience of the 45mm, although I just want to share my experience with the Samyang/Rokinon/Bower 85mm. despite the beautiful bokeh and amazing light gathering of that lens, I seem to struggle of using it, not because it is manual focus, but the minimum focusing distance can be a pain. it is very long which somehow limits it's flexibility and usefulness. you get within less it's mfd and expect that you will lose your shot and opportunity. when using that lens, expect to shoot long always. this is the reason why I sold my copy and bought the Samsung 85mm instead. aside from the AF capability, the mfd can be shorter and does not make you lose some shots whenever your subjects are close next to you. also, the bokeh is nice.

with the 45mm, it's a very versatile focal size and bokeh seems to be good and from the reports, have an extremely quick AF. but if you are really after an amazing bokeh, you have to go with either 85mm that I mentioned or you can buy any 85mm adapted for the NX.
