Help choosing lens for K-50
Apr 17, 2015
I just bought a Pentax K-50 today off ebay. It is supposed to only have a shutter count of 1 and I was able to get it for $217. I was able to get a Pentax DAL 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 AL SMC Lens for $35 as well. I wanted to get the WR lens but just a bit short on cash.I have been looking at zoom lenses with at least 200mm. There are just so many out there I am not sure which ones are good and which ones are just okay. I don't mind going with an older lens or waiting and looking around to get a good deal. This is my first DSLR, I have been shooting with a Minolta SRT with Rokkor lenses. I am still a beginner with photography. I took a black and white photo class in college this semester and fell in love with it. Now I want to get into the digital photography. I looked at camera's for the last 6 months and finally was able to get the Pentax. I prefer nature shots so this lens will be used outside a lot. Also I am looking to spend no more then $100 right now for the lens. Later down the road I will upgrade it is just not possible for me right now to spend a lot for lenses right now. Any help with lenses would be greatly appreciated.
