Picked up a used ex2f and tried it with two sef220a flash that I have and it works on both. In an old thread, someone on this forum mentioned it will not work but it does work.
This camera with a F1.4 can practically see in the dark without using a flash. What I like about the ex2f:
1. Lens F1.4 is sharp
2. magnesium body (the used one I bought came with corner damage on the body but camera appears to be working fine. So far so good. Another camera would probably not have survive that type of damage.)
3. Art filter (love it, please add more of these)
4. Fully articulating screen. (very useful)
5. Dual IS (only allowed to use the dual option in P mode. And single option on the other mode. why? why does samsung have to gimp this.)
6. Wifi + NFC (able to transfer pic and movies to my samsung s5 anytime and it is quite fast)
7. ND filter
8. Movie mode is really good and with the IS, it looks great.
9. Play button works without using the power button 1st. Also with the sef220a blocking the power button, I just press the play button then the shutter button to turn on the camera.
Conclusion:
Samsung should just keep the same F1.4 lens, stick their older sensor+processor from the nx1000 in it(I have it and it is still able to produce great images), tweak the menus a little, rework some of the button layouts (like add some customizable buttons), and borrow the screen from the nx3000 (add touchscreen to it), and call this a EX3F and it would be sell like hotcakes at $500.
How is the charging time on SEF220A? Is it faster than Metz 44 AF-1?
