Enjoying my Zuiko 40-150 Pro Tremendously
7

I've had this lens for a few months now and I enjoy it very much. I am not a pro, am an architect in my full-time job, but I enjoy photography tremendously. I thought I would just post a few shots I took this afternoon with my EM-1 and the 40-150. I got home from work and wanted to relax a bit so I put the 40-150 on my camera and walked around my street and took a few shots with it. Everything is in bloom and the plants look great. I also use a Nikon D810 with a nice selection of lenses but it never ceases to amaze me how beautiful and detailed the images are that I get from my small 4/3 sensor. When I want the ultimate quality I can get, I lug the Nikon but, I carry me E-M1 every day. So, here are a few hand-held shots, taken outside this afternoon in natural light with minimal adjustment in Lightroom.

Purple Iris shot from about 3ft away.

About a 1:1 crop, IMO, amazing detail and resolution.

Yellow iris bud.

Purple iris bud.

See a 1:1 crop below.

Look at the texture and detail - amazing to me.

Purple bud backlit.

White azalea with shallow DOF.

More white azaleas in my yard. I moved to get some of the mauve ones behind it an used the shallow dof to blur them.

Yellow Azalea.

So, that's it, just having some fun around my house after work today. I love this 40-150mm Pro and can't wait for the super-wide Pro zoom to come out later this year. As an architect, that lene will be extremely useful to me and the equivalent to my Nikkor 14-24 which I use a lot.
