Re: NX500 Image joy and screen sadness

The thing that baffles me is it is so hit and miss with all these cameras. The only LCD screen I have not muttered at on a bright sunny day was my Panasonic TZ40 and on the next version they put in an EVF anyhow. I have found it a perverse rule that all my cameras with EVF's seem to have better rear screens. It is just one of those rules of life that it is only there when you do not need it.

They can make these screens usable but they just cannot be bothered. There should be a law that any CEO of a camera company should be sent to California for a fortnight on holiday with just one of their wretched hit and miss rear screen only cameras to use. They would suddenly become usable as it can be done I am sure. Also it may just be a case of the laboratory technicians being made to go outside when testing these things.

The problem with these matte screen protectors is that it can make checking focus difficult.

I have thé nx2000 and its screen is almost useless in bright sunlight. I suppose thé brightness of caméra LCD screens is limited by their closeness to thé sensor but inexplicably nx2000's screen also lacks any antireflex coating whatsoever. M'y mobile is perfectly visible when placed next to nx2000's screen.

I'm considering trying matte screen protector.
