Unless you shot mostly from moving glass lifts and ferriswheels then I don't understand why not to take IS. IS is the obvious choice for sceneries. I also wonder what shutter speed you would need to get sharp picture  freeze action from moving glass lift.

Lots of information, but in the end the decision is mine and hopefully I will get it right.

Just discovered another advantage of the 1.4 it uses my existing filters (polarisers and NDs) where as I need a complete new set for the f2.
