Same scene, different cameras,
1

different lenses, different lighting.

Went for a hike today and took a photo of a previously photographed scene using the nx500 + 16-50mm pz; and compared it to a photo taken 15 months earlier with the nx300 + 16mm. Here's what I'm starting to notice about camera/lens differences:

  1. Both cameras handle highlights very nicely
  2. nx500 handles shadows better
  3. The 16-50mm pz is a struggle to handle corners that are far away at any aperture.
  4. The nx16mm lens is much better in the corners (when used properly)
  5. The nx500 back wheel is nice to see again
  6. The nx300 style of tilt screen might be better (I'll reserve final judgment until I've used the nx500 longer)

This is shooting raw+manual and processing in LR4.

Points 1 through 4 above came into play for these two photos:

First photo with 16-50mm pz; second nx16mm.
