Oly 40-150 f2.8 Minor Technical Issue
1

First outing with brand new Olympus 40-150 f/2.8 and could not be more delighted with the results. (A few samples appended) All images taken with OMD-EM1 on aperture priority. I did note one peculiarity however in using Aperture (by Apple)photo editor. In the "info" tab, the focal length is indicated only as either 40 or 150mm extremes. It never indicates any of the in between focal lengths. Not the case with my Panasonic 12-35 f2.8 or other Panasonic zooms used on the same outing and/or previously. As this is the only Olympus zoom in my arsenal, I was curious if this is something peculiar to all Olympus zoom lenses, Olympus zooms in Aperture, this particular lens or the particular current firmware version for this lens. It appears that as of Wednesday, there were no firmware updates. I realize that this is quite trivial and will, in no way, change my delight in owning and happiness with the wonderful photos. I didn't read the manual. Perhaps there is a switch or some camera setting I neglected. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed or experienced this?

All photos from local high school production of "Footloose"
