Re: S5 Pro family portraits

... I have my camera set to COLOR Medium High. Perhaps I can lower the color just a bit to get more natural looking skins. I just changed my color settings to Medium Low.

... If I would have taken that shot with the XE1, the white shirt would have looked totally SCREWED up, nasty and ugly. I know exactly how my XE1 would have looked on the white shirt with that ugly "digital" unrecoverable looking blown highlights.

hi mistermejia.

you might have had some strange settings, resulting in these bluish picture with correct or maybe a little too much red. anyway, you could check all settings and then do some tests with the WB FINE TUNE settings (p. 98).

PS

i think that your love to the dynamic range of the S5 makes you 'a little' (this is an understatement) frantic about blown out highlights from the X_E1. my X-cameras just deliver nice, clean, simple and plain areas of unrecoverable white, nothing comparable to your grossly exaggerated description !

but i don't want to discuss it.
