Re: EOS 600D photo saving problem

I had a similar problem with a 700D. The camera was only about 2 months old, and it wouldn't let me take any photos. I was getting the error message that the write protect switch on the card was set to lock - even though it wasn't. I got the same error message with 3 other cards. I called Canon because the camera was under warrantee - Canon suggested that maybe I could clear out the error message by draining the all power out of the camera. They told me to remove the battery and then turn on the camera and then hold down the shutter button for thirty seconds. And then put the battery back in and put in a new or reformatted card.

That didn't do anything. It was a problem within the camera. I sent the camera to the Canon service center and they fixed it and sent it back to me.
