What do you recommend for a 2 or 3 monolight setup that would work with a GX7
Fovitec? Re: What do you recommend for a 2 or 3 monolight setup that would work with a GX7
I have 3 of the Fovitec mono lights and am very pleased with the quality. Just a couple of notes... the smaller models (160w/180w) do no have replaceable strobe bulbs. Nor do they sell a replacement. That's not to say you can't replace them, but cowboy studio sells 160180 watt replacements bulbs for about $18 and they have to be soldered in. Not a huge deal if you have a soldering gun and minimal skills, but something to consider. For the price they work well and as advertised. The modeling light is adequate and that bulb is replaceable. I also have a SD-400. I have no complaints. For the money it's terrific (and the strobe bulb is replaceable should the need arise). I also have one of their large octagon softbox's which is well worth the cost in my opinion. When I have placed an order with them, it was shipped the same day and received quickly so no issues there. I have called customer service and got good service and questions were answered by a girl who was pleasant and seemed fairly knowledgeable. All in all I'd buy from them again and do recommend them. So far nothing I've received has seemed flimsy or cheaply made. Shipping on everything I've ordered has been free. Also search for a coupon code and you'll likely find a 10% off code on the web somewhere. Hey, a bucks a buck!
