Hi guys
I have an NX300 + 18-55mm (kit lens) + 45mm 1.8 2D/3D lens. So far very much enjoying this camera. I like to shoot portraits, landscapes, birds and babies/fast moving objects.
Currently loving the 45mm bokeh! So I was wondering that from most reviews of NX300 available online they are all mostly done on the kit lens. In your opinion NX300 + 45mm 1.8 lens does this combo be compared to other high end mirrorless and 4/3 cameras out there? For example big names such as E-M5, Panasonic GH7, NEX 7, Fuji X-T1 etc?
Depends on what aspects of IQ you are considering - some other camera may have a bit better OOC JPEGs, another - better high ISO output etc. I realize that these may be relevant in specialized use scenarios, such as low-light photography. However, for basic/non-specialized use (APS-C camera using 16-150mm focal range in good lighting conditions for slowly moving subjects) Samsung is as good as the competitors while being cheaper (This applies to both low- and mid-tier lenses & cameras.).
Or are those cameras way above my league?
Perhaps in terms of fashion statement - donning a Samsung makes you less hip than donning a top-of-the-line Fuji Well, maybe NX1 stole the thunder recently, but I have no experience and no intention of buying a top-of-the line camera and lens of any make.
Seriously, if you need a particular function which is missing from Samsung NX system or is better implemented in another camera - that's a proper justification to pay more. If your needs are basic (as stated above), you can pay less by purchasing Samsung NX low- and mid-tier lenses & cameras.
