NX3000+16-50PZ - best value compact? :)

It seems not many people actually bought the NX3000, but maybe I'll still get some answers.

I'm looking for a "compact" as a second camera (I usually use an APS-C DSLR).
By "compact" I basically mean it has to fit in a napoleon pocket in a trekking jacket or a small bike saddle bag. NX3000 (with 16-50/3.5-5.6) is pretty much the biggest acceptable option.

I could only test this camera in a shop. I don't like the shallow grip (I don't think I'll be able to use this camera with one hand. This is sad because I find NX300 to be one of the best handling "slim" MILC today :/). The AF is fine. The IQ is good enough.

Some things I couldn't check, so maybe someone could help me:
1) AF in real life (snow, water, grass, low-light) - any problems? I won't need tracking - just stills (landscapes, architecture, portraits etc).
2) How does the screen work in direct sunlight?
3) Are there any problems in low temperatures (like -10*C/14*F)?
4) Is the menu very cumbersome without touch screen? I generally prefer buttons, but my cameras' manufacturers (Nikon, Fuji) know how to make a button interface. As of 2015 NX3000 is one of not many things Samsung makes that is not touch sensitive (including fridges and washing machines...).
5) RAW writing time. I'm used to the speed of DSLRs. NX3000 couldn't keep up in single shot mode :o. Can this be somehow helped in settings (or by firmware update?).
I know the NX3300 is coming soon with better CPU (quicker operation, maybe focus peaking), but it most likely won't include Lightroom, so not an option really.
