I agree with both of you. That's why I love my DA15 even though I know its edge sharpness isn't exemplary.

These shots also show it transmits perhaps half a stop more light than a zoom (no surprise). At matched ISO and aperture the zoom shot has a longer shutter speed yet still looks appreciably darker.

Also I process my DA15 shots, especially the ones at f/4 and f/5.6, with some CA correction. That helps sharpness at the edges.

Dean, I think the 15 is unique with its portability, anti-flare and sunbursts / starbursts virtues. Wonder if you would take the troubles to compare those virtues.
