It's crap logic, plain and simple.

You are right. That is Cr@p logic. However, that isn't what I said. I said that non-weather sealed cameras are more weather resistant than you would think. In addition I said that the amount you pay for a weather sealed product is not in proportion to the situations that it covers.

The cost vs. benefit analysis is what makes it a Gimmick.
