Re: Viewer for Stereo Realist slides?

My late husband took a lot of Stereo Realist photos in the early 1960s and probably before. I've started scanning the slides (scan both, then choose the better one), but it would be nice to view some of them in 3D. I'm sure my grandchildren would enjoy that too.

Can someone please recommend an inexpensive viewer? I see quite a few styles of viewers on Amazon, but am unsure which one will accommodate my slides, which measure 4" x 1-5/8" (10x4 cm).

There are some viewers that accept those old Kodak slides. There are dozens of these on eBay [hiss]:

Google Vintage Kodak Kodaslide Viewer. They go from $25 to "way too much". I have one of these and it is a good way to view them.

If you are scanning the slides anyway, why not print them out and use a "stereoopticon"; that was the way people viewed them a century ago and is still a good way.

Here is one I made. It's a simple thing to make or you can buy a commercial version:

Here are a couple of antiques:

It's easy to print out cards of your favorite stereo scenes, especially since you have 3 computers!
