Just switched from Sony completely

Howdy folks, so Ive been a Sony shooter for the best part of 4 years and to be honest I thoroughly enjoyed using Sony and had no particular reason to switch, I just always admired Samsung and I intended to use the range as soon as it had the lenses I needed, which it does! I now have an NX30, 16-50 f2-2.8 and the 85mm F1.4, and I sold the NX300 I had as a part time camera.
So firstly I have a few questions! I seem to be having an issue with my viewfinder, it seems slightly blurry and it is a bit annoying as I'm not sure if I'm acquiring focus or not.
The problem is not with my eyes, as the diopter range does not limit what I need, and in fact by adjusting the diopter the image it gets relatively sharp at a point, but it is not as sharp as past EVF cameras Ive used. Ive not seen this issue raised so I presume perhaps maybe I'm doing something wrong? Or I got a faulty camera? I'm going in store to check other cameras at any rate.
My next question is....is there a way to preview the video aspect ratio before hitting play? And is there a workaround to use Focus Peaking whilst recording video? Ive seen one for the NX1 just not for the NX30.
Now for observations, from my time using the Samsung models, Im really impressed by the focus accuracy. Ok so the focus acquisition is not the fastest, but it is tack sharp when I get it locked, and Im not having the same issues with back/front focus and the uncertainty I had when shooting with my Sony. This of course is a byproduct of focus being both Contrast Detect and the Phase detect being on sensor, but it is really pleasant.
The 20MP sensor is good, seriously, Ive said it before but it is underrated and I can easily shoot in the same conditions as the Sony and get indistinguishable results.
